Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Russian Federation
Prospects for cooperation between the Krasnodar Region and the Republic of Turkey were discussed today in Krasnodar.
Over the past years, the Republic of Turkey is one of the main foreign trade partners of Kuban, Veniamin Kondratyev stressed. During the first 11 months of last year, the trade turnover between the Krasnodar Region and the Republic of Turkey amounted to 1.3 billion dollars, 13% of the total turnover of the Krasnodar Region.
The Krasnodar Region has already established close relations with the Republic of Turkey. In particular, there are more than 40 joint ventures in Kuban engaged in the production of industrial and agricultural products, transport and tourism services, construction of hotel and social facilities, the press service of the Regional Administration reports.
In turn, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Russia Huseyin Lazip Dirioz stressed that the Republic of Turkey is ready for mutual cooperation both in the field of investments and in many other spheres education, culture, and tourism.
Also it became known during the meeting that the Turkish Consulate General will be transferred from Novorossiysk to Krasnodar in April.
